Morocco-EU Trade Surpasses €60 Billion in 2024

In 2024, trade between Morocco and the European Union (EU) reached a record of over €60 billion, marking a 7% increase from 2023. This milestone underscores the strengthening economic ties between Morocco and the EU, highlighting Morocco’s growing role as a key trading partner in the region.

Agricultural Trade Dynamics:

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) estimates Morocco’s tangerine and mandarin production at 1.1 million metric tons for the 2024/25 season, marking a 16% rise from the prior year. This increase is attributed to favourable weather conditions during the flowering period and the adoption of advanced irrigation techniques, such as drip irrigation.

The robust trade figures reflect the deepening economic relationship between Morocco and the EU. As both parties continue to collaborate, further growth and diversification in trade are anticipated in the coming years.
